"The Phoebanator"

Hey,

My name is Phoebe Nichols, and some of my friends have dubbed me "The Phoebanator" in jest. I live in Somerville, ME, but tend to travel a lot when I am not in school. I grew up in Connecticut and was not aware of any environmental issues until I moved to Maine and decided to become and undercover game warden.

Unfortunently, I did not enjoy the major as much as I had hoped and I am now a wildlife major. I enjoy hunting, making jewlery, reading, and other outdoor activities. Myself and several other members of the college community have activily pursued and still are pursuing the philosophy of Restorative Justice and have introduced it to the college community as an alternative to the current "punishment system".

I am really looking forward to this class as I am excited to learn how to communicate to the public about the environment. I beleive that as a pilot class it will suceed and be very helpful to those majoring in an environment related career.

  1. Nice. I've worked a little with Restorative Justice as well. Charlie, Margaret, and everyone are great.

  2. Ah, always a pleasure to hear from Wildlife majors. I love animals, and am considering taking Wildlife or Wildlife Conservation as my minor.

I find it interesting that you enjoy making jewelry. It's not a talent of mine, but I respect anyone who has such an ability. Just curious -- have you ever sold your products?

  3. Yeah John, I was wondering how long it would take you to say something; I presented to you and Steve Nason one afternoon with a classmate.
